Biocide protector for heating and cooling systems – Biocide F7 fernox 200 ml Description:

Biocide F7 protects against bacterial and fungal growth in residential heating systems and non-evaporative water cooling systems. Fernox strongly recommends dosing a Fernox protector, such as Protector F1 or Antifreeze Alphi-11, together with Biocide F7 to provide complete system protection against corrosion and scale and to maintain energy efficiency levels.

Biocide F7 is also used to clean and prevent the recurrence of microbiological fouling that produces gelatinous deposits (fungal growth) in feed and expansion tanks. Gas produced by fermentation within systems is also eliminated with the addition of Biocide F7.

Prevents recurrence of gelatinous deposits in low-temperature heating systems, such as underfloor systems, and cleans feed and expansion tanks.

Product overview:

Fernox Biocide F7 has obtained European Union authorisation for use as a biocidal product for this application throughout the European Union, with authorisation number EU-0031652-0000.

Application:

One 200 ml bottle of Biocide F7 treats up to 150 litres of system volume. Add via the feed and expansion tank or, for sealed systems, add via a radiator, filling loop or another access point such as a towel rail. Fernox strongly recommends dosing Fernox Protector as well to protect systems treated with biocide against corrosion.

For very dirty systems, a biocidal clean with Biocide F7 can be carried out before draining and flushing the system. Then refill with additional Biocide F7 to ensure long-term preservation of the system. As before, it is strongly recommended to use the product in combination with a Fernox Protector, such as Protector F1 or Protector+ Filter Fluid F9.
